City man charged in fake IDcase

CUMBERLAND A city man remained jailed Friday afternoon on $100,000 bond stemming from various charges filed after true identity was discovered through fingerprint analysis, according to the Cumberland Police Department.

Brandon Bryant Butler, 23, was served a warrant Thursday charging him with four counts of personal identification fraud to avoid prosecution; two counts each of false statement to a police officer and obstructing and hindering police, and single counts of second degree assault, buy fake ids obstructing justice reckless endangerment, displaying government identification belonging to another person and displaying license not issued to him.

Following a bond hearing, Butler remained confined at the Allegany County Detention Center in lieu of $100, best fake id 000 bond following district court bail review.
